If I may, I'd like to share a lang-learning story of my own:
Back in my university days in the wild 60's,
I was learning German. One day, the weather being rather
nice, our professor decided to teach his lesson
outside on the grass. In order to get across certain
vocabulary, he taught us a drinking song, which
we were instructed to sing as loud as we could,
in as "drunken" a manner as we could fake
(or maybe not fake, depending upon the student ;-) ).
Anyhow, just as we were getting into top form
with this song, a camera crew from the evening news
showed up to film a student demonstration that was taking
place on campus nearby.
Guess who received the greater attention! :-)
