It is a matter of different transcriptions of the Icelandic initial
voiceless unaspirated stops. Since the lack of aspiration is more crucial
than the lack of voicing most speakers of other Germanic languages would be
best off pronouncing these sounds voiced. The same goes for final _f, ð,
g_. Thus quoth my Icelandic Icelandic teacher.
