The professionals and old hands will no doubt both know of this
and not require it, but it seems like a good self-teaching aid.
Found via www.SIL.org:
www.jaars.org/CCS/SoftDev/Language/IPAhelp/IPAprvw.htm
Click an IPA symbol to hear it spoken.
Kinda useful, in a pinch, though the example voice sounds more to
me like voiced/supervoiced pairs rather than unvoiced/voiced!
You can download the program itself from:
http://www.sil.org/computing/speechtools/ipahelp.htm
Oh, and TECH: I can't get navigator to pass the files directly to
RealPlayer, it insists on Virus Scanning them (huh??) and asking
me where to save them. I've looked in
Edit\Preferences\Applications and (altho I'm a novice) the only
entry I see is to launch RealPlayer. Any clues, anyone? The Virus
checker in question is Norton 2000 (not my choice)
