I remember hearing, many years ago, of a punctuation mark that was a combination of a question mark & an exclamation point. It even had a name: interrobang. I believe "bang" was/is the printer's name for the exclamation point. It was to be used for those emphatic questions that didn't require an answer, e.g., "What the hell do you think you're doing!?"
