Give it time, we've only been twisting English for about 400 years,
now. :-) My Terra-Novan comes even closer to that, since the spelling
has remained quite conservative, especially for vowels (consonants are
often changed, like _don'_ < _don't_, [du~]), while the pronunciation
has changed greatly.
