Isn't there also a trait whereby Texans consider themselves first and
foremost Texans, and only secondarily Americans? Yorkshiremen are like
that too. (Also the Cornish.)
I don't know whether Texans also think that everything Texan is best.
I was on holiday in Yorkshire last week, and everywhere were signs for
"Real Original Yorkshire Pizza", and suchlike.
