I went to two years of Spring Woods Senior High, then got myself
transferred to the H.S. for Performing & Visual Arts (HSPVA, a.k.a. the High
School for Perverted & Vulgar Acts, hehe...)
Being way too mischievious, feisty & plain ornery*, I was too much
trouble at Spring Woods:
COUNSELOR (tired of seeing me): "We have somethin' good fer ya ... and
good fer us, too... It's called HSPVA."
And it was good for me.
* I was in fights with jocks & rednecks nearly every other day; I skipped
classes a lot - especially P.E. (Physical Education); I played ruthless
pranks on students & teachers alike; vandalized property (i.e. setting
flashpaper-bombs in lockers); smoked & gambled in the bathroom; smuggled
booze into school in the form of oranges soaked overnight... ok, everything
short of murder ::evil grin:: not that I didn't try...
yep, the pen is mightier than the sword... it's more concealable ::BiG EViL

Perhaps this upbringing in such an assbackwards area of Houston, TX
predisposed us to linguistics & to conlanging.
Nay! It's just coincidence ;) We have own reasons... right?
