Might have been that the people I spoke to were originally from further
south.

Pssh, a sweet Riesling any day :) Apfelwein-Schorle a la Sachsenhausen
(Frankfurt am Main) is wunderbar too :) Drank tons of the stuff while
there.

It's hard to find the right kind of mineral water though, Pellegrino for
instance is much too salty, while Perrier is quite good... but hard to
find up here.
