These are rather complicated. The basic GUI library - used
for windows, menus and buttons is Qt. Qt is free software
on Unix, but commercial for Windows (and will be commercial
for OS X). I don't possess a C++ compiler for Windows, so
I can't create the library that binds Qt to Python on Windows,
even if I had a license for Qt for Windows.
But now Troll Tech has released a gratis version of Qt for
Windows, with a special non-commercial license, and the author
of the Python bindings will make available a gratis binary
of the bindings. From that moment on, Kura will run on Windows
again.
The same is planned for OS X.
