Of course people do that all the time in normal allegro
speech, in all languages. I remember the horror of the
Icelandic phonetician who realized how little of their
grammatical endings Icelandic speakers actually pronounce
distingtly! The snag is that your native language is the
one where you are least likely to notice such phenomena.
