Oh yes, I think so.
My two or three years (maybe more) on AUXLANG has made me very skeptical
about the use of a conIAL as an IAL. Both I and Mark Line dared to suggest
that a natlang Creole might be a better basis for a successful IAL - and
inevitably got flamed.

And you'd do well to make sure you always keep the primary and secondary
goals in that order. Once the second of these gets to be the main aim, IME
the fun goes, the blinkers get put on and the flames start. Ach y fi!
Yes, above all, keep having fun as the primary aim!
