Personally, if I were to define North, I'd have it be the direction such
that when the system is turned with North on top, the planet revolves around
its sun in the same direction as Earth does round our sun.
Then, east is the direction the sun rises in, so we have north defined by
the planet's revolution and east by its rotation.
