Well, midi would not be very useful for demonstrating the sounds of
a language, but recorded sound files are very useful. I haven't done
much on the phonology of Denden, but a large proportion of the examples
in my grammar are available in spoken form, too - just click on the
example. And my corpus is almost completely available in recorded
form too.
(And some Charyan melodies are available in Midi, but you really need
to be able to retune your synth to be able to listen to them as they
were meant to be listened to...)
