Male bias? The family trees I've seen all distinguish "born into
family" from "married into family" much moreso than male v. female.
My father's sister is on equal terms with him, while her husband is
on the same footing as my mother. I don't see a bias unless you're
trying to do only people with a given surname, and even then the bias
is in the custom, not the diagram.
