Chunks of one of the later Superman films, I believe Superman IV (due
to vague memories of the
timing) were shot in my hometown of Milton Keynes, England. This
despite it being transparently not
America in the slightest (traffic lights and street signs are the
wrong design, and face the wrong
way, for a start), let alone a huge New Yorkian metropolis (or should
that be Metropolis?). The
biggest chunks of local filming took place within about 3 blocks of
the main commercial / business
district.
