Re: OT: Artlanging is now mainstream

Voice isn't phonemic in English fricatives?  That seems something of
an overstatement.  Not many minimal pairs ("duff" vs "dove", maybe?),
but "off" with a "v" sounds more like "of" than "off" (either way with
an accent, of course): my brain seems to assume vowel variance first
and consonant second.
    I also assume affricates are not included, as there are plenty of
minimal pairs there... (badge/batch...)
