I know Bulletin is/has been used for journal-type publications (BSL,
Bulletin de la Societé Linguistique [de Paris/France?] ), but in my
US-oriented (academic) experience, "bulletin" is more like a shortish list
of announcements; journals are where you get the lengthy, often
impenetrable, prose masterpieces.
