Hey!
One example that may or may not be true is that of
one-hit-wonder rapper Snow, a Canadian who put out
"Informer" in about 1992. I say "may or may not"
because I remember people saying that the chorus was
some Pig-Latin-like invention, but sometimes I suspect
that it was an urban myth going around because the
words were spat out so fast as to be very difficult to
understand.
And dare we forget scat?! (I was in England when "The
Scatman" was a big hit--a song like that would never
be a big hit here!)
