It's a jazz term - improvising imitations of instruments (mostly horns and
trumpets and such), using sounds like
de bap bop ba do wop and similar gibberish =).
Scatman was a jazz artist who tried this style in techno music. I've heard
some rumours saying he's dead by now, does anyone know?
