It's a jazz term - improvising imitations of instruments (mostly horns and trumpets and such), using sounds like de bap bop ba do wop and similar gibberish =). Scatman was a jazz artist who tried this style in techno music. I've heard some rumours saying he's dead by now, does anyone know?
