Originally, 30 - 90 all had "a" at the ends: treinta, cuaraénta, but, by
analogy of veint (originally veinte), the -a was dropped for those
numbers.
100 - 900 change gender depending on the noun:
400 houses - Cuatroçèntas casas, 400 trees - Cuatroçèntos arbols
