As someone who reads the ingredients on most things I consider
consuming (due to a severe allergy), I do not recall ever seeing horse
meat in a product sold in North America (most of my experience comes
from Canada, since that's where I live).  Of course, if it really
is/were a conspiracy, it couldn't be listed on labels, otherwise it
would be too easy for foreigners to find out about it :)
