I'm originally from Florida myself. What part of Florida are you from? I grew up in Pensacola. I'm currently living in Kansas, which I greatly prefer to Florida. :-)

Cool. :-) I know a bit of Japanese myself. Wonderful sociolinguistic phenomena and head-final structure.

My first conlang was a mixture of English and Latin influences, with bits of SPanish when I started taking that in high school. right down to having

My lang's been alternately described by a friend of mine as "Backwards Japanese" (some of the structure is similar to Japanese except reversed) or "Hawaiian spoken by Finns on crack" (Finnish-like cases, simple phonology), and I've called it "The result of an orgy involving Eskimos, Polynesians, Bantus, and Finns, spoken by fanatically religious birds" (The speakers are somewhat bird-like, altho increasingly, as I work out their biology, batlike would be more accurate, and it has a Polynesian-like phonology, Eskimo-like agglutination, Bantu-like genders, and Finnish-like cases)

Interesting combination. How does one determine the role of a noun in the sentence?

Lovely language. :-)

Interesting.

Of course! :-) -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'. Everyone's just a big dork or nerd, you just have to find people who are dorky the same way you are." - overheard ICQ: 18656696 AIM Screen-Name: NikTaylor42
