Hello, my dear friends and colleagues, sèlamaleikom, mis mokhtàramos amigos
i rèfikos, here is a new report from Yitzik, struggling with his tonsillitis
and nasty smell of smoke...

Review #2, week Dec 15 to Dec 21, 2002

Group names given in alphabetic order.

Celti ~ is not active.

East Asian ~ -- a burst of activity -- 35 msgs.
Major topics:
- current work reports: Vong, Viku, Lweng, Wika, Hawali;
- where does a conlang name come from;
- potential Bauhinese dialects;
- oriental scripts;
- new welcome sign.
Specialists in Chinese dialects and in Korean are still badly needed.

Germani ~ is... khm... is "virgin" a good word, Jan? Maybe you'll start
posting and others will follow? I think ppl are just afraid of blank
space...

Romance ~ : 7 msgs; discussion on Fortunatian, a romlang with strong
Etruscan and Berber influence, is
going on, but not very vividly.

Slavi ~ is not active.
I remind you that actual nomenclature of languges is wider that the group
name; it includes in addition Greek, Albanian, Baltic and Uralic langs.

West Asian ~ : 2 msgs (mea culpa!), including my short report about my
current work on Rumiya.

That's all for now. It looks like coming holidays distract ppl.
Nevertheless, for all followers of Western Christian religious tradition,
Merry Christmas!
