Yes, Newfies have a goodly number of variances. The past participle replaces
the simple past most of the time; that is to say, it's so regular that if
there are exceptions I haven't noted them. You'll also hear "some" for
"very": "You're some smart, by" = "You're very smart, boy/buddy".
