I'm wondering if the Springfieldian calendar isn't lunasolar. They have a
thirteenth month called Smarch. 'Second March' maybe?
(On a tangent: I just found out that Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and
Iraq use Semitic month names very similar to those used in the Jewish
calendar, instead of English or French-derived names, but it's still the
Gregorian calendar - 1 July is called 1 Tammuz, for example.)
