Ah... I know quite a bit of Japanese, so, by the time I developed an
interest in various Chinese languages, I already had quite a few
characters down. And, more importantly, I think, my mind was
somehow "trained" to learn, retain and produce characters (because I
think it definitely gets easier the more you learn).
So, I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I find the pronunciation
harder than the writing. :)
