What about trying another contrasting pair to show the trigger of the
problem? E.g. have:
3a: 'The clowds floated over the sea.'
3b: 'The cow jumped over the moon.'

It occurred in 'the Northwind and the Sun':
'And so the North Wind had to admit that the Sun was stronger than he was.'
or
'And so the North Wind was obliged to confess that the Sun was the stronger of the two.'
Hopefully that page will grow to contain translations in all possible
languages. That would be a very nice source of compact information.
