Well, Farsi is an Arabic and not a Persian name of Persian. What is
the Arabic name for Dutch?
Many languages in Europe have a tradition for naming the language or
even the whole country after one of the provinces, Holland. Norwegian
is no exception. 'Nederlandsk' has become dominant over the years for
the language, but conservative/traditionalist trends are giving
'hollandsk' a little bit of an upswing these days.
