It sounds rhotic? You mean retroflex? I wouldn't know it is.
Not even my German accent would introduce that...

:-))) To be honest -- it took me hours.
By now I can quite easily cite the first line my heart. :-)

Hmm, clicks sound quite strange in recordings. They are *very* loud
compared to the rest and, therefore, tend to be distorted.
I'll try to make the phoneme table clickable (haha :-)), i.e., link
them all with MP3s with prototypical pronunciations (or what *I* think
those are). I was surprised about some alveolar clicks on my own
recording -- they plopp much more than in real life, I think, while
the palatals sound a bit like metal but sound soft in real life. It's
hard to describe.

be surprised about clicks on tape (eerm, or better 'on disk').
