USAGE: Verse, was: Re: Thorn vs Eth

This use of "verse" seems to be spreading among the young. Someone asked
about it on the Linguist List a while back (2 years ago? I lose track), and a
friend of mine in Massachusetts said her young (4-6 year old at the time?)
son used it, mystifying her until her husband explained it.
