Perhaps folks who wish to present such a language (i.e., what is
really an artlang but is also, perhaps, an auxlang in a conculture
or their own idea of what the perfect auxlang would be but have no
intention of publishing it as an auxlang) should best either make
clear that this is _not_ an auxlang per se or simply omit that that
it might be one.
For example, if a conworld's philosophers have decided upon creating
the perfect intercultural language - make it clear that this IAL is
found on another world where things aren't the same as they are here.
If it's just an artlang that you think might make a cool auxlang too;
either make clear that the idea is not serious (Europanto) or just
keep it in pectore.
