Personally, I think that Toronto is one of the nicest cities
I've ever been in! Way back in my university days, although
I lived in the US, I spent a lot of time in Toronto.
(I tried to respect the people around me and, as a result,
got respect back. I have nothing but good memories of
Canada and Canadians.)
I used to like to wander through the ethnic neighborhoods,
and I especially liked the Chinese neighborhood (not just
the touristy "Chinatown", but the area where the people actually
live.) Back in the early 70's, Younge (spelling?) Street also used
to be a lot of fun; but I hear it has changed since then.
What's it like now?
BTW, I also find "Have a nice day" irritating. I'd never say
it myself.
