Now, is this true for the entire city, or certain areas? I could have
sworn i've heard rappers from NYC use "Y'all". At least mong people in HS
i grew up with, the term was used among those who would be considered
lower class to even upper middle class. Mostly because they were imitating
rappers they liked.
