In order to SURVIVE, would I think be difficult to identify. Vocabulary would also depend upon the level of technology. One of my newly adopted hobbies is flintknapping (making stone tools, weapons) and it has a large and specialized vocabulary. So too does archery, clothmaking, tents, hide preparation, cooking, and so on. Also, hunter gatherers tend to have very extensive vocabularies concerning the natural world around them are able to identify many more plants and animals than the average modern city dweller. Also to be considered are cultural needs, religious, military, kinship and so on. -- Brad Coon bcoon@imt.net Somedays when you wake up, its just not worth chewing through the leather straps.
