I don't know. This area has gone from 2 or 3 digit dialing to 10 or 11 digits in a little over half a century.

Probably not that bad. I suspect that any changes will be along the lines of adding new multidigit access codes; rather than running out of numbers. There's no reason why they can't add some code for fax or modem dialling.
