In modern times, there is current Taiwanese President Chen Shui-bian,
who wants to "rectify" the name of the ROC to "Taiwan" in all official
documents. Which, of course, has riled the "China-nese" (China people,
as opposed to the Chinese as an ethnicity) terribly.
