Niculas Paran-attar -attar is a naming affix appended to the second name of a person of unknown tribal or national affiliation. Essentially, it means "foreigner". Sally is distinguished with -atias, since there is a Talarian city of Qâfas (anciently named Gavende). Thus Saras Qâfas-atias = "Sally of the City of Qâfas". A arifas is a foreign dignitary (cf. sheriff), so gets a slightly better class of affix, namely "honoured foreigner"; the -usman- root is thought to derive from the name of a Germanic tribe. Cool. Most of you even have common gender names. Sorry Taliesin, Barry and Christophe, o Neutered Ones! All languages are preceeded by Tenxwwar (language): Afar = Hafaruša Akte = Hactuša Boreanesian = Talapuruša (Land of Fire) Brithenig = Persanuša Hanky Castilian = Xanqacastuša Hangkerimian = Xamqaruša Ini = Hinuša Kash = Cašaruša Kerno = Carnuruša Lyanjen = Lânyyuša Lingua Fracta = Limqafertuša Lingua Franca = Limqafernsuša Linguq Lucaria (*there*'s LF) = Limqalucaruša Moskian = Muššyyuša Mungayöd = Mumquša New Cartagenian = Nucartanuša Numidian = Numiteruša Nur-Ellen = Simtaranuša (i.e., Sindarin) Punic = Pumcuša Rokbeigalmki = Rûpleyqaruša Saalangal = Sâlanuša Skerre = šeruša Talarian = Aryuša Tech = Taxuša Telek = Talacuša Tepa = Tapuša Tokana = Tucanuša Vaiysi = Faysuša Vivo = Fifuša Watakassí = Watacasuša Ylank = Ilamacuša In case you're wondering, the -uša bit is the genitive case marker, so that Tenxwwar Taxuša = Language of the Techians.
