The "no" signs are frequently backwards here, as well, for which I hold
the movie "Ghostbusters" entirely to blame. :) The correct
international NO symbol has a backslash \, not a slash /. The idea was
that it is an N superimposed over an O, with the sides of the N curved
to fit over the O, leaving only the crossbar visibly distinct.
