So says also the Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary. Would
anyone care to check the OED?
Cassell's Spanish Dictionary gives as the definition of `rasguear' "to
play the guitar with strokes of the tips of the fingers.
The Cassell's French Dictionary gives a definiton of `jouailler': "to
strum (on piano)." Difficult with a plectrum, I should think.
