"k-" is an emphatic prefix used among crackers, perhaps derived from
reduplicated "k-kool" /k@'kul/, meaning "very cool". "Rad" is
probably a clipped form of "radical", but means "good, praiseworthy".
Therefore this means (in an earlier slang) "swell".
ADULT: There are two words I never want to hear you use: one is
"swell" and the other is "lousy".
