I use Access 97 (although I will soon migrate to Access 2000) for
vocabulary and morpheme lists. It is easy to generate HTML from
this program. The secret to using a database is add in tools
that let you do what need to do even if the program is not really
set to cooperate. For instance, in my morpheme list, I want it
generated in what Nowans consider natural phonetic order, i.e.,
p, p', b, m, ph, bh, etc. and i, í, e, é, u, ú, o, ó, a, á.
Every morpheme has a 5 digit code with the first two digits
corresponding to the initial consonant, the next two to the vowel,
and the final to the final consonant or lack thereof. I sort on
this number, which no one but me ever will see and get the right
order.
