There was a science fiction novel back in the 60's or 70's. I don't recall the title or the author :( but it had to do with Earth being invaded by an intelligent elphant-like species. (The paperback cover showed elephants holding ray guns in their trunks as I recall!) I do remember there were a lot of comments about their language in the book. It seems they had a lot of idoims that revolved around images of stomping and trampling. Does anyone recall the name of the book? If memory serves, it was by a very well known mainstream scifi author. --gary
