Re: your site, is there a real connexion between the Saami people and the Shetland Islands? Isnt' the native spelling something like Sjetland or something? When I was in England, I worked in a church with a lady from there, who said that if she went home to family and talked with them, it would sound unintelligible to us. Is this because they have a very distinct English dialect or a different language altogether? I ask because ever since I started this conlang thing, I keep uncovering European languages I've never heard of, like, for example, Romansch languages (I thought there was only one).
