The French author Francois Rabelais (1494-1553) also
used something like a conlang sometimes:

"Agonou dont oussys vou denaguez algarou, nou den
farou zamist vous maristou ulbrou, fousquez vou brol
tam bredaguez moupreton den goul houst, daguez dagez
nou croupys fost bardounoflist nou grou. Agou paston
tol nalprissys hourtou los ecbatanous prou dhouquys
brol panygou den bascrou noudous caguous goulfren goul
oust troppassou." said Panurge, the polyglott, to
Pantagruel who recognizes here the language of the
country of Utopia.
