A conlang does exist in the real world though. It doesn't require a separate
culture for its existence.
As an example, ASL (not a conlang, of course) exists in the US (and Canadian)
cultures, but there is virtually no sign of it in that culture. Yet ASL
maintains its integrity as a language in that culture, whether or not the culture
itself acknowledges the language.
