Well, I know very little about Old French, but I seem to recall seeing forms like "veulx" before. By "corrupted" I just meant that presumably the L was originally pronounced, but it became silent, and was eventually dropped. So those forms still follow the pattern, it's just been hidden. Sorta thing. :-) K.
