I read the contrary, that's to say that it's Aymara that influenced
Quechua. The main argument of this is that the only dialect of Quechua
which possesses features common to Aymara (as the ejectives) is the
central dialect which is the only one in contact with Aymara, whereas
the peripheral dialects of Quechua which have no contact between each
other all lack the features of Aymara and are very much like each other
and different from the central dialect, despite their strange areal
distribution. A pretty convincing argument, for me at least.
