I just do the words first (grammar is far less interesting). But since it seems most people here have this little -thing- about vocabulary creation (as in, no one seems to enjoy it much), I'm not sure how much that would help. Of course, I've never had any problems sticking with languages -- Meisteik has been in the works since I was 11 (though it's recently been redesigned, so the dictionary is only to about 400 words), and Pr'ii is just about six months younger (and it has almost seven hundred words).
