My user name is >"gitarrenklampfer" because there already was "guitarplayer". I guess there >is also someone called "Carsten Becker". If I knew how to change the >"gitarrenklampfer" in the "Name/Email" column which is shown on the "list >all messages" site into my real name, I would have already done it. However, >the thread "newbie: several problems with latex" is *NO* spam! It's serious. >So if anyone would be so kind to answer my problems I'd be very thankful. >The thread's URL is >http://groups.yahoo.com/group/latex-for-conlangers/message/470. Carsten, your mail has been received (at least by me) and is still there in my mailbox. I just haven't had time to look further into it to reply (you're asking pretty difficult questions! I don't understand half of what you're saying! I must admit whe it comes to .map files I'm a complete newbie. I tried once to learn about them and ended up more frustated than anything else. And since MiKTeX handles everything automatically and transparently, I didn't go any further... yet...). So don't worry, it has not been taken as spam :) . As for not receiving any digests, I guess that since your post has been the last one until now, you can't expect to receive anything :) . The list is just in one of those periods of calm before the storm. I was kind of hoping your post would bring such a storm, but it seems you raised up questions that are just too hard for us and we are too ashamed to admit we can't help ;)) . I'm still planning to look further and possibly learn enough about .map files to answer your questions, but it will take a while. Have patience! :) Christophe Grandsire. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr You need a straight mind to invent a twisted conlang.
