An Interesting thought

I was wondering if anyone has considered what scientific discourse might look
like in a language that mandated grammatical evidentiality marking. Such a
culture might have a very different, and more balanced, perspective on science
in general.
Also, I was wondering how the subjunctive is treated in scientific discourse
in languages like Spanish and Portuguese. Is it used in any systematic way, or
is it dropped?
Thanks,
Travis
